Baby and Toddler Story Time at Milford

For babies and toddlers ages birth to two with a caregiver.  Enjoy stories, songs, movement activities, and rhymes designed to boost brain power and foster a love of libraries and reading.  Children are encouraged to play and socialize while the adults make new friends. This program will take place on Tuesdays from January 19 through March 9.

Adult Book Discussion

This program was originally scheduled for 2/25, but due to inclement weather has been postponed until 3/4.

Attend an Adult Book Discussion at the PCPL Dingman Township Branch led by local author Ruth Rudzitis. The February selection is Blanche on the Lam by Barbara Neely. Space is limited and registration is required. Books are provided by the library. Sign up at the Dingman Township Branch or by calling 570-686-7045.

Friends of the Children's Room Meeting

Attend a monthly meeting and spring cleaning with the Friends of the Children's Room (FCR.) Any student between the ages of 12 and 18 who would like to volunteer with the FCR should email pcplfcr@gmail.com. The meeting will take place at the Library Annex, 201 West Harford Street (across from the Post Office.)

Be Entrepreneurial: Junior Achievement Program

Are you the next Bill Gates, Michael Dell, or Michael Zuckerberg, the creator of Facebook? These successful business owners began as teenagers, and so can you. Join this free program sponsored by the Junior Achievement Program, Pike County Public Library, Dime Bank, and the local business community. Since it is never ...too late to start your own business, teens and adults are welcome to attend.

Each session will be led by a business owner in Pike County who will lend expertise on different topics such as competitive advantage in business, the role of ethics in a company, writing business plans, and much more. Through interactive classroom activities, participants will develop their own products and services throughout the weeks, culminating in a presentation to business professionals during the last session.

Those interested in this free program are encouraged to sign up by contacting the Milford Branch of PCPL in person or by calling 570-296-8211. The program will run for seven weeks on Wednesday evenings, from March 24th through May 5th, from 7-8:30pm at the Library Annex, located at 201 W. Harford Street (across from the Post Office.)
