A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Gala dinner dance to support
the new pike county public library

MILFORD, PA: February 12, 2008—With a nod to the Bard, the Pike County Library Task Force is hosting their second annual “enchanted evening” on Friday, June 27, 2008. A Midsummer Night's Dream gala dinner dance will be held to benefit the capital campaign to construct the new headquarters for the Pike County Public Library. This magical evening will include cocktails on the Peter Daniel of Le Gorille and Jeff Lamperti plan the menu for the gala dinner dance.banks of the Delaware River at The Riverview Inn, and gourmet cuisine created by award-winning chefs Sharon and Peter Daniel of Le Gorille restaurant, assisted by guest sous-chef Jeff Lamperti of Shohola. The whole event will be enhanced by charming decor designed by Randy Auman of Aumandesign and Jim VanDevender, who are donating their services as they did last year. There will also be a live auction of 'dreamy' items, featuring Pike County’s own superb auctioneer Sean Strub, and the night will conclude with dancing to the exquisite music of Rod Ruth and his ensemble, with Michael Rice at the piano.

This enchanting event is being supported by many generous Pike County individuals and businesses. To date, individual sponsors include Joe and Ronnie Biondo, Joan and Albert Waldman, Larry Tishler, Barbara Buchanan, Charles and JoAnn Eible, Brenda and Sam Ruello, Michael and Elizabeth Geitz, Maleyne Syracuse and Michael Trenner, and Richard and Rebecca Lindsey. The Riverview Inn is subsidizing the space; Carmichael Communications has donated printing services for the “save-the dates;” Altec Lansing is again donating raffle items and numerous residents, including Denise Wagner and Rhonda Sobel-Evers, are participating as committee members to help plan the event. A wide variety of exciting auction items, ranging from two weeks in Rome to decorated cookies for a year, have already been donated by local individuals and businesses. All library supporters, past, present and future, are invited to attend!

Tickets for the Gala are $150 each; individual sponsorships (and 2 tickets) are $1000; corporate sponsorships (and 4 tickets) are $2000. Call the library at 570-296-8211 for further information or to become a sponsor.
